The supplied 4m connector pipe is pre-charged so that installation is simple and easy
Semi-flexible pipe with the same sort of bendable features as a thick rubber hose: rubber outer layer with a plastic inner layer and a copper core
No air evacuation or pressure test is required

Indoor unit goes straight to a normal 13amp plug
A second electric cable goes from the indoor unit out through the hole in the wall as part of the special 4 metre cable. This connects to the outdoor unit to provide it with power.
